Tip of the Week

A bachelor of liberal arts degree, or B.A., is awarded to undergraduates who complete a set curriculum of online courses for liberal arts degree topics including social sciences, fine arts, music, and humanities. However, the purpose of the bachelor degree of liberal arts is to form a well-rounded knowledgein the study of humanities and arts. In addition to the focus on liberal arts, a B.A. requires coursework in math and science, as well. Generally, a bachelor degree is considered to be a four-year program, but many American students are now taking their time through college and are averaging about five years for a B.A. Today, college programs are available for distance learners and many bachelor degrees can be earned online from accredited universities.
