April 3, 2009, Newsletter Issue #151: Public Relations Degree Options
1
Tip of the Week
Students who are interested in public relations will find many public relations degree options available to them through a communication degree program. Even if they are unable to find a program offering a degree specifically in public relations, most communication degree programs will likely offer a number of different courses related to public relations and may even offer the ability to obtain a concentration in public relations. Students with an interest in this specific area should be sure to take these available courses.
Even if a communication degree program does not specifically offer classes in public relations, many of the skills acquired while obtaining a communication degree will prepare the student well for a career in public relations. Skill such as managing, taking responsibility, planning, preparing reports and even computer proficiency will all aid a graduate in excelling in a public relations career.
